Rules for the “TEAM SHOOT-OUT” – CACTUS CUP TROPHYALL 8 teams will qualify for the "Cactus Cup Team Shoot-Out" Stick around and watch the action if you are not in the shoot-out, beverage cart will be onsite! HOLES #17 & 18.
NEW SHOOTOUT RULES AND FORMAT
Points are very important - it is very hard to win the DC without "buys"
ROUND #1, HOLE 17 - TEAM 7 VS TEAM 8 ON HOLE 17. WINNER ADVANCES TO ROUND 2.
ROUND #2 -HOLE 17 - TEAM 6 VS WINNER OF ROUND #1. WINNER ADVANCES TO ROUND 3.
ROUND #3 -HOLE 18 - Round #2 WINNING TEAM, TEAM #5 & TEAM #4. ONE TEAM ADVANCES TO ROUND 4.
ROUND #4 -HOLE 18 -Round #3 WINNING TEAM, TEAM #3, TEAM #2, & TEAM #1. TEAM NUMBER (most points) #1 & #2 - TEE OFF FROM THE WHITE TEES FOR only THIS ROUND, for most points. 1 TEAM to DROP OFF.
ROUND #5- HOLE #18 -THREE REMAINING TEAMS FROM ROUND #4 - ALL PURPLE TEES, ONE TEAM DROPS OFF.
ROUND #6 -FINAL ROUND TWO TEAMS PLAY FOR THE CACTUS CUP & $12K IN PRIZE MONEY!
NEW FORMAT
Captains will decide the following: There will be 3 designated putters, 1 chip off player, 2 wildcard players, and 6 players that will play in a true alternate shot rotation.
Putters: True alternate shot rotation, captains must list the order on Friday (for all players) NO SHOWS pay a heavy penalty and could screw their team. Make sure you bring a full field.
Chip Off Player: One player to do ALL chip off's - Wild card player CANNOT substitute for this position.
Wildcard Players: These are two-players that can replace any player at any time- other than the chip-off. IF you have a "no show" player, they can fill the spot. If you have less than 9 players -your team is disqualified. If you have 9, you must forfeit the "chip-off" player and hope you do not tie, as you will lose all ties, because you have no chipper. If you have 10 or 11, you must substitute the missing players with a wildcard player. You will lose the "wildcard' option, making it harder. This is a TRUE TEAM competition. Putters only putt when on the green, leather is good. Any shot out of bounds will need to be re-hit from the original spot in the shoot-out. On the final hole -if the 2 teams tie -the hole will be played from 100 yards out, using the same rotation. IF there is a second tie, there will be a putt off decided by the 3 putters -in the same rotation. ALL putts in this round must be putt out- leather doesn't apply. IF this is tie, the chipper will decide the winner- with a bunker shot, closest to pin wins!
Wildcard Rules:- The Wildcard player can be substituted in at any time (except for chipping), but only once. Once a Wildcard is called in, they replace the player for the remainder of the hole or until the team is eliminated or wins.
Submission of Player Selections:
Team captains must submit their player role selections BEFORE 6 PM FRIDAY—no exceptions. As a captain or assistant captain, your decisions are critical and could impact the outcome of the tournament.Spectators:
